To round out this year please join us at the Night Photography Series at Santiago Canyon College/Community Services. Classes include how to capture light trails, city and holiday lights, light writing, HDR and panorama image processing. We will meet on three Thursday evenings, 11/17, 12/1 and finish in the SCC computer lab on 12/8/2016.

Beginning in February 2017

EXPANDED Introduction to Digital Photography happens at Santiago Canyon College/Community Services

This course now includes creativity exercises, night photography magic, and a Saturday session on campus. Along with the old standby Basic Digital Cameras, there are two wildlife sessions. A favorite location is Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary in Silverado Canyon and a new excursion to San Joaquin Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary in Irvine. We will be introducing Lightroom and Photoshop and offering an Open Lab to continue your work with a guide.

You’ve been asking for it and it is here!

An advanced beginner/intermediate photography class. You will be challenged in the Digital Photography Intensive on two Sunday afternoons in April. We help you learn the custom functions of your camera  to help you decide if you want to use them or not.

You don’t have to be a senior citizen to participate in Digital Photography classes hosted by the Tustin Parks and Recreation Department at the Tustin Area Senior Center. Students can sign up for these afternoon classes at TASC.

Don’t forget – we are enjoying great success with virtual sessions, too. Can’t get away from the office? Can’t fit classes into your busy schedule? Use this link to book your private tutoring lessons with Julie at TakeLessons.com

Virtual Classes in Digital Photography To the Rescue

Digital photography virtual classes…

Have you ever wanted some private photography tutoring, but couldn’t spare the time in your busy schedule to travel to the instructor, have the lesson, then travel to your next destination? Do you wish you could just book a 30-minute session to ask some very specific questions? Do you want quick answers and don’t want to spend time in a semester-long photography class? I think you will find virtual classes a real boon to your busy lifestyle.

In the same town, in the same state, around the globe…Technology to the rescue!

We have been working with Skype, Google Hangouts, and TakeLessons.com Classroom to conduct our virtual classes in digital photography for some time now. The process is getting better and better and is really a lot of fun. It is cost-effective for the students and for the teacher, too. Being able to share the computer screen is essential and these online programs are easy to use.

The virtual environment is quite easy to create. You just need a computer with a built-in camera and microphone (or you can make those purchases separately…buy, why would you?) or an iPad/tablet, or even an iPhone/cell phone.

I will help you design the photography training that you are looking for and deliver just what you need at a convenient time in your schedule.
