Virtual Classes in Digital Photography To the Rescue

Digital photography virtual classes…

Have you ever wanted some private photography tutoring, but couldn’t spare the time in your busy schedule to travel to the instructor, have the lesson, then travel to your next destination? Do you wish you could just book a 30-minute session to ask some very specific questions? Do you want quick answers and don’t want to spend time in a semester-long photography class? I think you will find virtual classes a real boon to your busy lifestyle.

In the same town, in the same state, around the globe…Technology to the rescue!

We have been working with Skype, Google Hangouts, and TakeLessons.com Classroom to conduct our virtual classes in digital photography for some time now. The process is getting better and better and is really a lot of fun. It is cost-effective for the students and for the teacher, too. Being able to share the computer screen is essential and these online programs are easy to use.

The virtual environment is quite easy to create. You just need a computer with a built-in camera and microphone (or you can make those purchases separately…buy, why would you?) or an iPad/tablet, or even an iPhone/cell phone.

I will help you design the photography training that you are looking for and deliver just what you need at a convenient time in your schedule.

Are you in Orange County? Here’s the latest Digital Photography Class Schedule with local classes from October 2016 through April 2017.

Grooving at Art Camp This Summer

Grooving at Art Camp this summer includes art classes, photography projects for all “campers”, hiking, swimming, dining, relaxing, quiet time on your own…and just plain having fun!

Get away for a few days into the San Berndardino Mountains at Camp de Beneville Pines and study digital photography and post-processing with Julie Diebolt Price.

Art Groove - Adult Art Camp flyer

This will be the 10th time around for de Benneville Pines annual art camp. This year, the five main class subjects offered will be:

Life Drawing, Photography, Watercolor Painting, Acrylic Painting and Mixed Media (Printmaking/Book Arts). Each camper will choose an area of study, receiving expert instruction from a highly recognized artist within that field.

Materials are provided and teaching accommodates all levels of experience from beginner to advanced. Class size is limited so instructors can give individual attention to each student. The first class will take place on Friday afternoon, with the subsequent classes on Saturday to Tuesday mornings.

Following these daily morning sessions and lunch in the lodge, campers will be free to experience a variety of afternoon workshops led by the morning instructors and others. Early each evening, an instructor will speak on the subject, “My Life as an Artist.”

The Art Groove experience is customizable to each camper’s preferences. Attendees may also blend art instruction with traditional de Benneville summer activities such as hiking or swimming, and of course, relaxation.

Dinner in the lodge offers a time to discuss the day’s activities, and evening “Art Jams” feature movies, discussion groups and even more outlets for artistic expression. Throughout the five days of camp, art will be displayed in a spirit of sharing and learning, culminating in a special exhibit on the final morning.

This is based on the number of positive reviews from Thumbtack clients. Other (outside Thumbtack) clients gave reviews, too. We are honored to be a recognized highly-rated pro.

This year we have worked on small product photography, actor and model headshot and portfolios, corporate assignments that included group and single environmental portraits, individual portraits on a white background for extraction, and in-studio social media images for business promotion. Not to mention creating images for stock and promotional purposes and virtual tours for the Google Street View Trusted program.

We want to earn your 5-star review, too!
